Our Story

BORN FROM
THE
CULTURE.

TapTap started with a simple question: why isn't there a party made for Haitians? Three years later, the answer has traveled to over 10 cities, sold out every first night in every new market, and built one of the most vibrant Haitian cultural experiences in the world.

How It Started

THE IDEA OF
THE TAP TAP

It started with a phone call. DJ Bullet and his partner Jones got a call from Jason — who runs Shrine on Saturdays — about a growing wave of Haitians showing up every week looking for something that felt like home. The question became clear: why isn't there a party built for us?

Together, they came up with TapTap — named after the iconic Haitian tap tap bus that carries people from point A to point B. The idea was simple: once you walk in, you're on the bus. A packed, electric environment where we take you on a ride from the first beat to the very last drop.

What started in Miami quickly became something much bigger — a movement that Haitians across the world had been waiting for without knowing it.

"ONCE YOU COME IN, WE'RE TAKING YOU ON A RIDE FROM WHEN YOU ARRIVE ALL THE WAY TO THE END."

The Experience

NOT YOUR
TYPICAL PARTY.

TapTap was built on the idea that the Haitian experience deserved better venues, better production, and a bigger stage. We moved away from the typical Haitian restaurant or fading club and into spaces that elevated the entire experience — big LED walls, live stages, cabanas, and rooms that felt like events.

The music is the heart of it all. Kompa, labadai, afrobeats, hip-hop — whatever brings people together. TapTap isn't just a Haitian party. It's a Caribbean party, an everybody party. The culture is Haitian, but the doors are open to all.

THE
MUSIC.

DJ Bullet built a family of DJs who work together to create a journey through the night — the music builds, the energy rises, the crowd moves as one. From Paris to New York, from Orlando to Toronto, every night features a curated lineup that honors Haitian sound while embracing the full Caribbean spectrum.

And wherever TapTap travels, we bring in local Haitian DJs to perform with us — because support and unity are part of what this is about.
